If you don’t know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else.

If you are like me, you started classes on Tuesday (1/06/2026). If you didn’t, screw you.
All jokes!
But seriously.
Lucky you.
Anyways, I started school on Tuesday, including my internship (so fun!!!).
The school year comes with lots of stressors, especially if you are a more mentally unstable individual such as myself.
Here are some ways I prepare for the new school year.
- Start getting sleep EARLY.
- Trust me, you don’t want to start the semester on a lack of sleep. You’ll NEVER catch back up.
- Create a highly detailed calendar.
- Write down classes, where they are and with the professor in the notes.
- Put in your work schedule and get that 10 minute reminder. Trust me, you are gonna need it.
- Plan when you are getting dinner with friends (at least one friend dinner a week is good for the brain).
- If you love this, write down when you are waking up, going to sleep, working out, meal times, whatever you need.
- Finally, MAKE IT PRETTY! I stole this idea from my friend, but color-coordinating my calendar and adding emojis just adds some magic to my Google Calendar.
- Romanticize the school year.
- Make a Pinterest board. Scrapbook. Planner. Whatever you do, just find ways to make studying HOT.
- I have a 2026 Vision Board, a gym board, and an academic weapon board: all glamorizing the most difficult parts of my life (aka school, working out, being a productive human).
